50 pictures from Singapore

Are you planning to visit Singapore any time soon? I was mighty impressed with it. Here are my favorite 50 pictures from there.

Well, this is a special time and year to go ahead with your plans. 2015 marks the 50th anniversary of  its independence from Malaysia.  The little city state has great plans to celebrate the significant milestone. The big day is really close. 9th August makes for the National Day and this is the day when parade and fireworks will rock the state. Also, recently Singapore Botanic Gardens has been recognized as the first UNESCO heritage site in the country.

I visited Singapore last year to celebrate my third marriage anniversary. The 8 days really helped me discover its culture, food, people and business scene. No less, I learnt that it is hub of finance, medicine and aviation. One shouldn’t be surprised to know that World Bank has stated it as the best country to do business in. People mint money here and with a concentration of millionaires, it happens to be one of the least corrupt country. Coming to its strategic location makes it a big port and thus the Singaporean marine and offshore industry is scaling heights.

I wouldn’t say Singapore is my favorite among all the countries that I have visited but I would say this small state really impressed me with its green parks, metro service (SMRT), technology, advancements, internationalization, architecture and Sentosa. People love to settle in the country and it is rightly a nation of immigrants. That makes it so adaptable and open for all in many ways. Indeed, Singapore has the potential to become a true Asian Gateway!

There is lots to my Singapore travel stories but this post has 50 lovely pictures from my closet to mark the country’s 50th National Day.
